For the SAN-87, Master Hattori chose the KD30-MEDAKA Cowry X Damascus Slim Utility model. To make something unique and distinctive for this knife collection, Hattori decided to make an elegant, beautiful and tasteful Handle from Green Jigged Bone. Careful and precise handwork was needed to produce the beautiful, smooth surface and extra-slim profile of the Natural Moss Green Jigged Bone Handle, which required sanding the handle scales until the ‘dimples’ of the jigged bone were removed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Hattori SAN-87  Limited Cowry-X Damascus Slim Utility Knife has a slim 3.3-inch (85mm) blade with a Cowry-X core that is sandwiched between forge-layered Nickel\/Stainless Damascus steel. The Unique Custom Elegant Smooth Bone Handle is 4-inch (100mm) long, it is fastened to the Tapered Full Tang with a large nickel silver rivet, a small pin and a lanyard hole tube.
